Quarterdeck Resort sits on 60 rolling acres along the west shore of Gull Lake in Minnesota's Brainerd Lakes area, about two hours north of Minneapolis. Founded in 1957, the relaxed lakeside getaway wraps around 850 feet of sandy beach, with lodging from nautical-themed lakeside suites to woodsmoke cabins, lake lofts, and five-bedroom lake houses — many with fieldstone fireplaces and balconies. A marina with boat rentals, fuel, and a ramp anchors summer boating, kayaking, and swimming, while winter brings snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
