What TravelTV is
TravelTV is a network of live cameras at real destinations — beaches, ski hills, downtown squares, harbors, mountain passes, zoos, and scenic overlooks. Every view is hosted by a partner on the ground: a tourism bureau, a business, a parks department, or a community organization who wants the world to see their corner of it.
You can browse the network by individual camera, by channel (curated programming that rotates through related views), or by category. Watch on the web, or on your TV through our apps on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, and Samsung.
Why we built it
Most live cameras live in isolation — one camera, one site, one scroll past on someone's homepage. TravelTV puts them on one network so you can actually find them. Planning a trip and want to see if the surf's up? Checking on a place you used to live? Watching a snowstorm roll into a town two states away? It's all in one place.
For our hosts, that means real audience — and a piece of broadcast-quality infrastructure they don't have to build themselves.
Who we are
TravelTV is a brand of Weather Metrics, an Overland Park, Kansas company that has been building, installing, and servicing live cameras at destinations across North America for years. We make the hardware, run the network, and operate the apps — the whole pipeline from the lens to the living room.
