Mt Hood
Mt. Hood Meadows is the largest ski resort on Oregon's Mount Hood, about 67 miles east of Portland, sprawling across 2,150 acres of lift-served terrain. Twelve lifts reach 87 runs spanning a 2,777-foot vertical drop, from gentle greens to the steep, hike-to chutes of Heather Canyon — plus another 1,700 acres of backcountry when conditions allow. An average 430 inches of snow falls each winter, and the mountain adds night skiing and 15 kilometers of groomed Nordic trails. The top sits at 7,305 feet.
