Kansas Dept of Wildlife
The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks manages the state's public lands, waters, and outdoor recreation, from hunting and fishing to camping, paddling, and wildlife viewing. Kansas offers remarkable variety: prairie, plains, and woodland habitats yield deer, turkey, bobwhite quail, and ring-necked pheasant for hunters, while more than 40 state fishing lakes and dozens of community waters hold bass, crappie, walleye, and catfish. The agency sells licenses and permits, oversees the state parks, and stewards the wild places that define the Sunflower State.
